Planting Thanksgiving Tulips in 2022
Every November I plant tulip bulbs in honor of my Mom. My Dad, brothers, and I did this just a few days after she passed away (check out my Living Lessons: Tulips post) and now it’s one of my favorite annual traditions. This year I took this tradition to a whole new level and planted 650 bulbs in my garden and surrounding our home! Planting each one brought me so much joy and I absolutely cannot wait to share photos with all of you in Spring 2023!
Here is what I planted in the garden and around our property this year;
- 135 Double Early Tulip Mix
- 8 Double Late Crispa Mix
- 15 Darwin Hybrid Tulips in Mystic Van Ejik
- 82 Mixed Tulips
- 60 Light pink Purissima Tulips
- 60 Large Flowering Crocus Mixed
- 60 Little Beauty Botanical Tulips
- 46 Fringed Mix Tulips
- 70 Dark pink Van Ejik Tulips
- 70 White Allium Neopolitanum
- 45 Giant Allium Purple Sensation Mix
Tulips represent “perfect and deep love” and are given when you have a deep and unconditional love for someone. How wonderful it will be to have our home surrounded by this perfect and deep love when the tulips bloom in Spring 2023!
