Home Transformation Projects

In January 2020 we moved to an Island in the Pacific Northwest and purchased a Craftsman home nestled amongst the towering Douglas fir trees. We spent a year renovating and putting the final touches on the interior and have completed several exterior projects as well (with still more to do of course)!

My husband and I now know how to tear out carpet and hardwood floors, remove and reassemble kitchen cabinets, take out walls, remove/paint/ reinstall all of the molding, and are master trim painters. We did the work on a relatively small budget and did a lot of it ourselves – we called in the pros for some of the bigger tasks and completed the biggest tasks in record time, 5 weeks!

This was a truly exhausting process but it was well worth it. Our home has been a refuge of peace, comfort, and safety throughout the pandemic. I’ll be posting before and after pictures of our home renovation and some smaller DIY projects around the house and the property as well.
