Easter Flowers

Easter is a special occasion that symbolizes rebirth, forgiveness, new beginnings and a fresh spiritual outlook, and is a time to be with family. Every year my Mom would buy my daughter a beautiful Easter Sunday dress for our church service and family gathering – this made my daughter feel so special and loved and it became “their” holiday. The loving presence of my Mom will be with us this Easter as we gain a clearer view of who we are as God’s perfect beloved sons and daughters.

For the Easter bouquets I chose peony double tulips – there are two small white flowers nestled beneath a larger pink peony tulip making these flowers very unique and delicate. I also used beautiful bright yellow daffodils, a small sweet yellow and green flower (if you are familiar with it and know what it is called please let me know!), and a white violet. Peony’s symbolize honor and compassion – this is fitting since this site is a way for me to honor my Mom and our relationship and she was always thinking of others. Daffodils represent rebirth and new beginnings, a perfect fit for Easter Sunday.

I love to gift bouquets so others can bring the beauty of flowers into their spaces. This week, one bouquet is for a long time friend from my middle school/high school days, another is for my younger brother and his fiancĂ©, and the last bouquet is for our dining room table for Easter Sunday. The flowers were staged around the family lake home – in the sunroom, living room, and on my Mom’s wooden dresser.

I pray that your Easter Sunday is filled with love, family, and celebration. This is a time to give gratitude and see the beauty that surrounds us each and every moment.

I was born and raised as a farm girl in the Midwest and have spent the past 20 years living in Australia, Hawaii, and the Pacific Northwest working as a marine mammal biologist. I love spending time with family, gardening, being outside, and I enjoy making delicious meals for my friends and family. My beloved mama, Kelly passed away in late 2020 and this website is dedicated to her - she taught me to be a grateful heart and see the beauty that surrounds me in all that I do.
