How to Make my Favorite Quiche Recipe

Quiche is such an easy and versatile dish to serve – perfect for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner! Below you’ll find my two favorite versions! Serves 8.

Ingredients for Sausage & Onion Quiche:

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk (non-fat, 2% or whole)
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (white cheddar, swiss, and gruyere are delicious too!)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 lb. Italian sausage (sweet, mild or hot) – if you like less meat just use 1/2 lb. sausage
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Step One: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

Step Two: Cook the Italian sausage until well done, set aside. Using the same pan sauté the diced onion, set aside with the sausage.

Step Three: In a large glass bowl add the eggs, milk, shredded cheese and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Mix well. Add in the sausage and onion, mix well.

Step Four: Spray a round pie pan with non-stick spray. Unroll and put the pie crust into the pie pan. Pour the sausage mixture into the pan with the pie crust.

Step Five: Bake for 45-50 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes.

Step Six: Enjoy! P.S. I like to serve quiche with steamed brocolli for dinner.

Ingredients for Mushroom, Onion & Spinach Quiche:

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk (non-fat, 2% or whole)
  • 1 cup of shredded white cheddar cheese (swiss and gruyere are delicious too!)

  • Note: If you don’t like mushrooms considering using 1 red bell pepper, diced instead
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Step One: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

Step Two: Sauté the diced onion and mushrooms, set aside. Using the same pan, add the baby spinach and sauté until wilted.

Step Three: In a large glass bowl add the eggs, milk, shredded cheese and 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning. Mix well. Add in the onion, spinach, and mushrooms. Mix well.

Step Four: Spray a round pie pan with non-stick spray. Unroll and put the pie crust into the pie pan. Pour the veggie mixture into the pan with the pie crust.

Step Five: Bake for 45-50 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes.

Step Six: Enjoy!

I was born and raised as a farm girl in the Midwest and have spent the past 20 years living in Australia, Hawaii, and the Pacific Northwest working as a marine mammal biologist. I love spending time with family, gardening, being outside, and I enjoy making delicious meals for my friends and family. My beloved mama, Kelly passed away in late 2020 and this website is dedicated to her - she taught me to be a grateful heart and see the beauty that surrounds me in all that I do.
